As per usual players are left guessing as to what this weeks Limited Mystery Item could be by being given a mysterious white silhouette. For a change however The Sims Social seems to have dropped a major hint in its promotional banners above the in game screen. The banners show a small one squared Carousel item that wasn't part of the Victorian Elegance items drop earlier today and seems to fit the shape of the advertised secret silhouette don't you think?
The Olivia Restored Carousel, from what we know so far offers the option for Neighbours to either 'Get Nostalgic' which will add a notification to your friends Facebook wall, 'Dance Together' that will raise 'Fun' alongside dropping the usual Social Points and 'Listen To Music' which will also boost that 'Fun' need. We have no further information on what actions it will provide for the owner yet.

Every Limited Mystery Item so far has had a SimCash price tag attached to it, could we possibly see the first ever available for Simoleons or Social Points? As the item does not seem to have the grandeur, size or pulling power of its predecessors. In our opinion there really is no reason why some Limited Mystery Items could not be made available for silver coins or blue plumbobs as the item would still be Limited Edition if only made available for a weekend period. We know many complaints have been fired at The Sims Social developers regarding this matter and if ever we could see a change, it's this week! Especially with the
New Mystery Boxes presumably being SimCash and the high end of SimCash items provided in the Victorian Elegance Items Drop earlier.
Would you be impressed with the new Limited Mystery Item if it turned out to be The Olivia Restored Carousel? What currency would you be willing to pay for it? What features would it have to do in order for it to warrant your hard earned SimCash? Let us know via

omaigosh~~ i want it so badly~~ i guess evry girl want it too =( hm..bt i guest evry limited item was so so so super expensive, i cant afford with simcash neither do 100k simoleons ==
ReplyDeleteI also was thinking it is the carousel, based on it's shape. I hope so, because it's so pretty. I'll probably get it. Just have to find a cute table for placing it, since I put the nutcracker on my available spot.
ReplyDeleteis going to be in simcash... every mystery item is in simcash.... wherever, is not a very interesting item for my the only item i love from this new week is the little soldier.
ReplyDeleteyeah, pretty hope it has an acceptable price, would love to have it :'D
ReplyDeletei don't have much sim cash... and why not it sale in socialpoints form?? very sad everytime no money to buy the things...
ReplyDeleteright now i do not think i can pay for anything due to lack of trust. the developer changes item's qualities after you have purchased it. like the little cheers thingy and gazebo. and plenty others.
ReplyDeletei am so dishearted everything that it really nice, fireplaces, hottubs, all of this stuff that just came out is either priced way to high-not reasonably! or simcash!! thats sucks! also along with the clothes too!! :(
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing it's going to be about 70 simcash. Or higher. :(
ReplyDeleteFor double fun interaction, I'd only pay simoleons, and if it's some huge amount like the piano, not even that because there are enough reasonably priced items in the game to raise fun level. With all the glitches going on in the game, the constant "oops, we've hit a snag" requiring me to reload when I want to visit neighbors, at this point, I'd only pay Sim cash for an item that would fulfill my social need without having to visit neighbors. I love to visit my neighbors, but the game doesn't let me. And even if a social interaction was promised, I'd seriously contemplate this as a Sim cash purchase since the developers have been removing or changing interactions after the fact (e.g., gazebo).
