Every so often an item drops into The Sims Social that is truly a game changer. The two biggest so far would have to be the L.Simnovorii Cowplant and the Aquatix Delux Aquarium, but it looks like they could be joined by a third item when Paris Week drops on 16th February. The Dingaling Bell will allow it's owner to 'Ring For Cleaner' which will clean all of the dirty items in your virtual The Sims Social pad except for puddles. This was a feature that we expected when Robbie The Robot dropped into the game, but unfortunately the opportunity was missed by the developers and we were left with a slightly stale Rock, Paper, Scissors game with him.
We believe the Dingaling Bell will be released on Thursday 16th February and will only be available for a Limited period of one week before it is gone forever. The real downside is that the Dingaling Bell is set to be the most expensive item ever to be released into The Sims Social online Facebook game with the price of 250 SimCash, but if you buy it on its first three days of release you can pick it up for the slightly more reasonable price of 99 SimCash.
Please remember that details including price, interactions, ingredients and release date for any upcoming items or themes can be changed by the developers before release and the information we provide can sometimes be in its rawest form, we are just trying to give you as much notice as possible to prepare for the weekly The Sims Social item drops.
What do you think about the Dingaling Bell? Are you impressed with the option of being able to clean your house at the ring of a bell? Will you be purchasing it for 99 SimCash in the sale? forget it. i will not spend my hard earned salary on this ;P
ReplyDeleteNo I will not I play for fun & not to spend money & with as many glitches it would be a waste of money in my opinion; however, I still love the game....
ReplyDeletetoo expensive for a bell
ReplyDeleteMy house only ever gets dirty things when I need them for quests, so this item is pretty much useless for me...
ReplyDeleteeverything was WOW untill i read the price tag! Nope! toooo expensive :|
ReplyDeleteWay overpriced, and it does not clean up puddles? Anyone who buys this is a real ding-a-ling!
ReplyDeletethe game is getting really expensive. nothing is worth spending real money on.
ReplyDeletetoo many glitches in game, for me to be spending real life money , by buying sims cash... item looks pretty useless for the price...
ReplyDeletei don't have enough storage to buy anything new, so this is not an option for me...
ReplyDeleteNot a chance. Hopefully the Sims creators will start to realize that people are spending less money on the game, not more, as the novelty wears off and the quest rewards are getting a bit lame. How about a really difficult quest with a large SimCash reward? Who knows - perhaps once someone actually gets to buy a big ticket item they will be more apt to spend actual money.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the actual bell goes - how often are all of your items dirty? And how much energy do you really need to clean those items? A LOT less energy than 250 SimCash can buy. Besides, you need the items you can collect for cleaning - i.e. rubber gloves, etc.
Just sayin'
*faints*
ReplyDeleteWhaaaaat?
Holy @#$%. No thanks. I'll just clean my house. Seriously. That a ripoff.
ReplyDeleteNope. Too much for the sake of saving me at the most 2 energy per game play. And if they amp up dirtying my house in an attempt to make me buy it, I will not be happy at all. It seems all social games are getting more and more greedy about trying to fleece gamers out of real money.
ReplyDeleteThe price is unrealistic for this item. No one's house gets so dirty that they aren't willing to use a little energy to clean it.
ReplyDeleteSo sad to see that the game is being geared more and more towards spending RL money. With each update we are seeing more items only available for Sim Cash. I for one will never spend real money for a fake item.... especially since this game seems to snag when ever it wants, sometimes for weeks on end, and the deleopers change the feature on an item at any given moment.
Too much simcash!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a Dingaling created this item.
ReplyDeleteAre you crazy? What the heck? 250 Sim Cash? That's bogus and ridiculous! 250 Sim cash? I wouldn't pay the required cash, for this in real life...
ReplyDeleteGreedy! What's with this game and everything being expensive?... Go ahead, keep doing this and no one will want to play this game anymore. This really upsets me! Sugar coat it with 99 sim cash for a short, which is also ridiculous!
Forget about this game. I just been virtually smacked over the fact that a game I love so much, is greedy! GREEDY! I'm poor, with no money... Disability for only bills and barely have much food to eat in real life... You expect me to dish out even 2 cents into this game, let alone this?! Forget it! I guess the good games are for the rich people, while us poor people suffer with the "Whatever" stuff...
Whatever Sim Social... How exactly are you making great business? Because, that's all this game and other FB Apps are "Business" without fun fairness...
I got enough stuff in my sim home anyway... I don't "need" this!
The truth hurts, sorry... But this is just how I feel about it.. And, the virtual graphics aren't even all that great... How about if someone by this for in game, they should have something like this in real life, shipped to their "real house"... Because, something like this would be cheaper at a thrift store, seriously... Just without the magical "Clean everything itself" ability... pfft... !!!
What do they think we're made of, money? They already have the steepest money-to=gamecash ration of any game I've played... why do they then take pleasure in overpricing so many items?
ReplyDeleteIt would appear the the sims developers and playfish are living in a fantasy world. £25 sterling for enough simcash to cover the 250 simcash, that is more than you can buy sims 3 for. Somebody should tell them to come back down to earth.
ReplyDelete€250, have they realized that they are now in 12th place and keep on dropping....
ReplyDeleteReally what kind of a business keeps losing customers and does nothing about it????
You go EA/Playfish, that is the way to go, increase prices, take away stuff that we like and replace with bugs...good business sense...
What`s the point of doing these item`s if no one get`s them a bit pointless EA should make items that players will get other wise you are paying people to work for nothing
ReplyDeletePaying anything for any part of this game would mean validating probably the worst programming and game design I've ever encountered.
ReplyDeleteI vote no.
(And yes, I've bought SimCash in the past, before I discovered just what an amateur effort the game is.)
250 simcash ? pah ! I shall clean my own house myself...
ReplyDeleteIf the item was reasonable or priced with another form of currency, besides simcash (real Money) then I would get it, but its not worth all the money for just to clean house. I find one or two dirty items maybe in a few days time of playing, that I can clean one by one without much effort. And when a quest comes along that requires cleaning of items, I find that the usual dirtiness suddenly goes away, as if they made it less often to make it harder on players during a quest. As soon as the need ends, back come the dirty items. It is all so annoying and stupid.Plus a bell is just stupid looking, If the robot would roll thru and clean thatd have been cute.If itmes that do things useful continue to go up and up and up moreso in cost each month or even weekly, I am going to clearly stop buying ANYTHING and stop getting simcash at all, so if I were EA I would think abt. that fact, and lower the prices again before they lose even more real money players such as myself.Id buy simcash and be able to afford three or four good items before now, now Id have to spend it all up on ONE and thats not ok to me.
ReplyDeletenot worth it...i doubt it would drop multiple cleaning/repair items too..
ReplyDeleteI would pay 250 simcash for a bell that made my sim inspired, or satisfied hunger, bathroom, washing, sleep - but not just to clean the place, I dont think I've ever had more that one thing dirty at a time.
ReplyDeleteIt doesnt seem worth it to me.
Why do you keep teasing us and then try to make us spend REAL money on items..and then you make these items expensive to buy..It is very unfair to low income players and does not create any support..LOWER your prices and PROVIDE a way within the game to earn Sim Cash to accommodate us better PLEASE???
ReplyDeleteAesthatic-wise, I find 99 simcash to be too expensive for a bell. Unless it summons a maid animation and clean the house for me, I skip this one.
ReplyDelete99 Simcash for a bell?
ReplyDeleteWaste of money. I can buy real stuff for my real house with that kind of money.
ReplyDeletehow much house value will it give you for that amount of sim cash?
ReplyDeleteHell. No.
ReplyDeleteCan you just do us all a favor and stop selling stuff we cant get cuz half of us dont have that much sim cash to get it please. I mean i love this game, but why u gotta make it so much more harder for us to ever get what we really want. Its just not fair. If anyone else agree's lets all get together and comment telling and and letting the game makers know how we feel about this.
ReplyDeleteI agree with most players that 99 simcash is way too expensive. It's not nice looking and it only clean up dirty items.
ReplyDelete99 simcash would only be reasonable if it cleans up all puddles as well, an animation where a maid sim visit to clean up for us and drops cleaning items.
If not, this item would only be a burden because some quests requires us to make items dirty. Neighbours can easily clean items for us free and it helps earn them social points.
I may be a ding a ling but I am quite taken with this. I find it aesthetically pleasing..it would fit in well at my sim's home, it's what's missing! I will be purchasing this at 99SimCash price for sure!! Any more than that and I won't be able to get this gorgeous bell that I am coveting!! <3 :)
ReplyDeleteAny idea whether this item has built-in animation? The new price is 125 simcash.
ReplyDeleteI suppose there's something more to justify the increase of 26 simcash. If not, no one would buy this item.
I'm sure that the above comment was made by a EA employee :P
ReplyDeletehell to the NO! I WILL NEVER EVER spend my pocket money to buy much simcash :P hehehehe.
ReplyDeleteSingle mother of four. LOVE LOVE LOVE this game, the stuff is kinda hard to come across though. I like to redo my house often, and I buy new things a lot, I cannot spend actual cash on this with the prices of real-not simulated- things in real life, gas, groceries, etc, already being so high.I have missed being able to buy things I would love to have, as this game is calming for me and a way to take a break in my hectic life, but I just can't do it, so I guess I'll do without things I'd love to have in the game, just as I do in real life. Other than everything having to be bult with impossible to obtain stuff, and the great items being real cash, I still LOVE the game. Honestly though, for something to cost this much, I could go buy a PC game for this price.
