It was all about creating an amazing sandy Beach House last week in The Sims Social and we were provided with a great selection of wooden furniture and beach themed decorations to choose from. As usual The Sims Social Fansite will let you know what's worthy of a purchase and what can be left for the tide to take away.Near enough all of the big SimCash items miss out on this weeks Fansite Picks due to the expensive cost and none original interactions they provide like the Life's A Beach Changing Hut and Life's A Beach Recliner Chair.
This doesn't leave many items with interactions and benefits left this week as Playfish obviously took a little time out on creating amazing items whilst bringing us a Second Vacation Home.
A lot of the items featured in this list are ones that are given away Free when you first buy your Littlehaven Shores residence, like the Utopia Basix Toilet, Utopia Basix Shower, Utopia Basix Fridge, Utopia Basix Bed, Utopia Mailbox and Utopia Trash Can which was very nice on behalf of The Sims Social.
If it's decorations you are looking for to spruce up your golden Beach House, then you'll find loads including Utopia Surf Boards, Okea Torty Pal, Utopia Bamboo Torch, Life's A Beach Bucket and Space, Utopia Palm Leaves and Utopia Beach Painting that are all worth a purchase but of course hold no distinguishing interactions that will benefit you in the long run.
Which leaves the four items that we believe are the best Fansite Picks from The Sims Social online Facebook game as part of Utopia Beach Week. First of all we have the Mr Fud's Ice Cream Maker that for a small price of 4800 Simoleons will boost your House Value by a nice +3600, earn you a maximum of 60 Simoleons profit when Inspired and will also raise both 'Hunger' and 'Social' needs. It really is one of the best Skill Items ever released into The Sims Social.
The Utopia Premier Bed is our second Fansite Pick this week as we love the four post design and it really stands out from the Basix version provided for Free by The Sims Social upon buying your Littlehaven Shores Beach House. Its 69 SimCash of course, but your sandy retreat will definitely stand out with it. The Utopia Sandcastle will not benefit you in terms of interactions or Ingredient drops but no Beach House is complete without one and it certainly is a unique item that we can't see Playfish replicating any time soon until another Beach themed week falls upon The Sims Social.
The last The Sims Social Fansite Pick is the brilliant Utopia Hammock which unfortunately cannot be bought. You must have completed the 5 part Road Trip Quest to gain access to this item that will raise 'Fun' and 'Sleep' needs whilst still boosting that important House Value by +2900.

Love my new beach home! The sad thing is Playfish has known all along the Road Quest for the Utopia Hammock has been glitched since it started. Reported by all players it has been ignored. Wish that had been fixed for everyone, instead of so many having to spend SimsCash to complete the quest.
ReplyDeletei agree about the hammock i had to spend sims cash to complete the task. and as far as the shell issue go to bellas beach house and to to title pool and click collect shells it will only let you do 2 at a time but do something else and come back to get more. it works. good luck
ReplyDeleteI have everything except the bed, but i agree it is beautiful. I may buy it at a later date.
ReplyDeletewell instead of the bed ( because it is an imitation of so many 4 poster beds....and it just changes the colors and also doesnt give any unique interactions ). the rock pool would be more interesting as the interactions are pretty funny and i can get shells and money from it.
