Toyota Prius V To Scale Down Next Week

We all knew the terms and conditions of the Toyota Prius V Car before we completed the Green Up Your Act Quest around three weeks ago. That the Energy giving white eco machine would only be available to us on loan for a period of two weeks before it had to be given back.

It's almost been three weeks now and the Prius are still parked in many players gardens and are still providing Energy which is well over the time limit stated by Playfish when the offer started. However, now Playfish have announced that the Toyota Prius V Car will be scaled down into a tiny 1x1 model version on Thursday 29th March and the actual car along with its perks removed.

Will you be happy or sad to see your Toyota Prius V Car go? Did you have it parked on your plot or was it just too big and had to be relegated to your storage? Will you struggle without its Free daily Energy drops? Share your thoughts by leaving a Comment below or alternatively visiting our Facebook, Twitter, Forum or Chat Room.

  1. They want cash for it.

  2. They should just let us keep it. It looks nice even if it doesn't do anything after this week!

  3. why are they doing that? i enjoy having the car on my property =(

  4. don't care, never had it, never wanted it, the prius is about as 'green' as a big fire at an industrial waste plant... my 170 bhp diesel van will produce less pollution in its entire life than the real life prius uses in its production....

i will not support, sanction or encourage the toyota prius either in a game or in real life

  5. please let us keep our prius V's

  6. aw I am gonna miss my car I made a drive way for it and everything!!!

    ReplyDelete
  7. My Prius is parked in my storage since the day I got it because I have no space for that car. Couldn't care less about scaling down or up.

  8. liked its perks but takes up to much space

  9. i need all the extra energy i can get since the game itself isn't working correctly. i STILL can NOT visit anyone w/o the game forcing a reload...

  10. Will the smaller scaled down version be given to us or will we have to buy it?

    ReplyDelete
  11. please do not scale it down.we like it that way..we super love the toyota prius!=(

  12. i need all the extra energy i can get since the game is not working correctly. i STILL can NOT visit anyone so i have to burn alot of energy at home to get inspired.

  13. I guess I misunderstood something... I thought we were going to have the option to purchase this car (same size) after the trial period? I would gladly pay to keep it.

  14. I remember them saying this, and while it looks nice parked, it does take up a lot of room, and To be honest it.s only one energy a day, not that much...So it will be sad for some, But I'll be happy to have some space...Thank you

  15. it was convenient to have, had to rearrange some things to make it fit..need to buy more land lol

  16. The energy was nice, I built it a drive way so I will be sad to see it go. More for aesthetic reasons then anything else

  17. OK, so I always had in mind that my sim would eventually have a car. So I built a garage waiting for the car to be released. His house was finally complete when the car arrived. When the car is gone, things will just be the way they were before, filled with boxes (unfinished items) and my red bike. I'll be taking pictures of my sim's car right now and say goodbye :(

  18. wait, you saying we're getting a miniature instead??? SWEET!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. oh God..it'll decrease one of my energy supply...

  20. I loved it in my garden...oh, doesn't matter

  21. I like the car it makes it feel more like real life b/c most families have a car in today's society. However, I don't like the fact that it takes 24 long hrs. to get only 1 energy if it takes that long to earn energy can it be at least 5 maybe more. If not can the time 4 the earned energy be less than 24hrs; just my thoughts...thanks for listening and considering what I have said

  22. Bummer! I have mine parked on the side of my Beach House, just where a car should be. I really don't want to see it go. Even if they have to stop the free energy I would really love to keep the car as is.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I love having my car "parked" at my house. I made a drive-way for it and it looks great. I would hate to see it gone. I thought it added a nice touch to my house.

    ReplyDelete
  24. this sucks.. why not keep it???

    ReplyDelete
  25. Happy! Send a little sports car!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Can we please keep the car please, you can take the perk's just let us keep the car.

    ReplyDelete
  27. It is humongous but it's got a spot on my lot because of the energy drops. Wish to see more items like this!! Sad to see it go.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I won't really miss it since you couldn't drive it and it took up too much space. It was ugly anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  29. it only gave me 1 energy ever 24 hours anyway. Its been sitting in my storage for almost the whole time.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I want it to stay! :D

    ReplyDelete
  31. Happy! It was taking up too much space on my lawn anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I hate it. :( It's to cool to be removed, it's suit with the size...

    ReplyDelete
  33. The energy it gave has definetly helped me. I'm sad to see it go :(

    ReplyDelete
  34. Please don't rescale it, i like this big size. it looks real...And please don't remove its perks.. :(

    ReplyDelete
  35. Isn't the first time that you take out an option to get energy -- If it is just decoration everbody can choose to show it at the house or noct, but resize to 1x1 ? not acceptable!
    Tell ya once again:
If EA/Playfish will that everybody is leaving the game just delete it from the server

    ReplyDelete
  36. I will not miss just one extra energy a day one does not make me or break me. What I miss is ALL of my old extra energy from social packages and bars.

I do love that we get a toy version of the car it will be fun to sit out and take up way less room.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Booooo! That su ks!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Please let the perks! Downsizing it would be cool anyway. Mine's parked in my living room...

    ReplyDelete
  39. I wouldnt say I am going to struggle without the 1 measly energy, lol, but mine is parked in a driveway, looking good, and I will miss it.. who wants a 1x1 version? Maybe it will sell for a lot, lol

    ReplyDelete
  40. i have made a garage for my Toyota Prius V!!! I would definitely want it to stay even if i don't get the daily energy that comes with it. had made the garage when two weeks came and it's still there. Thought it's gonna stay for good.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Nooooooooo!!! I'm going to miss it!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. i love the car pls don't give it away..:(

    ReplyDelete
  43. Grrrr...Making getting energy even harder

    ReplyDelete
  44. Glad its gone.. at least i won't feel guilty for leaving it in my storage =P

    ReplyDelete
  45. lol, I put that crap in storage, I was all excited for it to but once I got it, it just kinda ended up into my storage, at the beach house it was too big, and I used the beach house for the Arabian theme to so yeah I guess that's why it went to storage.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Happyyyy! I was already sad the Gang week gangsters didnt take it. For Energy I send gifts of coffee to my 127 Sims neighbours...

    ReplyDelete
  47. Well, only had the free energy advantage, but it is too large and is for nothing.
I thought I would go with him to the streets...
Was a disappointment. So, I will not be sad if Toyota Prius go...

    ReplyDelete
  48. Life will go on!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. How will we get to our Careers...lol. It really takes up to much space and 1 energy pretty useless.

    ReplyDelete
  50. damn! made a driveway for it and it looks good there! don't care about the energy, but why take something away that we earned? what does it hurt to leave it anyway?

    ReplyDelete
  51. wow giving us 1 free energy a day is to much, talk about greed.

    ReplyDelete
  52. i wanted to build an extra vehicle hall for it.
i'm very sad when it'll be removed!

    ReplyDelete
  53. My car is parked alongside the beach house. I don't see why they don't take that ridiculous unicorn statue, which has no context in the game, instead of taking the car.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I didn't think it gave out enough free energy to make that big of a deal. I'll take the model and put it in storage just like I do with all the other useless "toys" they make us collect that add to our loading times.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Id like to keep it... if the perks of having energy will be taken out... its fine with me.... its a nice decoration and made the sims realistic for having a car.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Presonnally, i was in a rush trying to complete the Quest for the Prism. I really liked the fact that my Sim owns a car it makes the game more enjoyable to play. I want my car to stay the size that it is, and i also need it to stay in my yard. Playfish needs to come up with something that can make up for them removing our cars. (Hint: Another car:. This will not effect me playing the SIMS, but i will be unhappy.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I was under the assumption that this vehicle would be available for purchase at 10 Simcash after the two week free trial. Had I known it would be scaled down, I would not have gone through the trouble of building a garage and re-designing my entire home to accommodate this new addition. Can't say I am too pleased with the ending result of this limited-time promotion.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I made a garage for the car and everything!
I don't care about the energy, I just liked it as a prop.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I am glad that we get to keep a small version. That's all I really need. I own a Prius anyways.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I made a garage for my Prius ... I want to keep it :(

    ReplyDelete
  61. Meh. The free energy was nice, but I knew it was coming to an end. But I have the Progressive unicorn and the genie's lamp that gives me free energy.

The Toyota car is, quite frankly, an ugly car. This past year, I had to replace my car and I did not give Toyota a thought. If I wasn't going to go Toyota in real life, what makes you think I will go that way in the virtual world of a computer game? I went with a BMW. I took advantage of the Certified Series (the BMW used car leasing and warranty programme). My car is older, but she still has more power than a lot of brand new cars on the market and she has many great bells and whistles that are still not standard in a lot of today's brand new cars.

Now if the Sims were to take advantage of the Certified Series promotion for BMW, I might consider spending simcash on it. And I know that EA Games has done stuff with BMW and other sports and luxury cars in the past. Just look at the Need for Speed series of computer games.

In a fantasy world, people want fantasy cars. Offer me a Porsche or a Ferrari; not a Toyota.

  62. i feel we should be able to buy the car for simoleans why did we have if its not going to stay

    ReplyDelete
  63. I like it,it's parked on my beach property,I don't drive so it's the first car I've ever owned, don't take it away!

    ReplyDelete
  64. please extend this car promo.i didnt have the chance to have it

    ReplyDelete
  65. Why take the car? It's a good advertisement for Toyota . It looks nice parked beside my house . Now all that is happening is Im disappointed with Toyota for giving something and then taking it away ! Not nice ...dislike :(

    ReplyDelete
  66. I also built a driveway for my car and I want to keeeeeep ittttt!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  67. I want to keep it

    ReplyDelete
  68. OH NOOOOOO!!! I love that car (with it's energy bonuses) ! Why cant the people that already have either brought it or won it through the quest be able to keep it? :(

Although it's true I would prefer a fast sportscar

    ReplyDelete
  69. Happy to have it as a tiny toy car. Dudn't like it taking up all that space. I'd rather walk!!

    ReplyDelete
  70. typical for EA/Unplayfish....
    they realy suck...

    ReplyDelete
  71. i want my car back.....

    EA YOU GUYS suck

    ReplyDelete
  72. I would like to keep my car and its energy. I made a garage for it and everything :( we will miss you Prius!

    ReplyDelete
  73. just let it stay...geeez whats the big deal

    ReplyDelete
  74. Just another way for Playfish to tick it's players off. WAY TO GO PLAYFISH! Whatever genius thought this was a good idea should be fired.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I guess toyota needs these cars to sell to the general puplic. I hope they make it fair as sell it as a used car because it was used as a rental in Littlehaven. So anyone buying a new Prius, be sure and check the mileage and don't get suckered. On a serous note, what the hell is toyota going to do with this simulated car? Let us have it for crying out loud.

  76. 29th March ix ma birthday...

  77. x fa no lo quiten el coche la verdad esq es una pasada aparcado en el jardincito d casa

    ReplyDelete
  78. I don't understand people talking about the car being too big for their game ... If you have no space, or simply don't like the car (or this specific car) you can put the car in the store, or sell it, and the problem is solved.
For those (like me) who like the car in its right proportion (and not a useless toy size)and have the place to place it, this downscaling thing is a loss for the game.

    ReplyDelete
  79. As far as concerns the brand of the car, if the issue is about Toyota yes/no, I don't care about it, I can accept a car with no brand even :)
I must say I like to reproduce a certain reality in virtual game, so no impossible cars or fantasy things. A normal car is quite accepted :)

  80. I love to park it to my loan :( plz give it back huhuhuuhuhu

    ReplyDelete
  81. i made a parking lot for it, and POOOOFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!
    i am totally disappointed.

    ReplyDelete
  82. oh.. now my car is goooone :(

    ReplyDelete
  83. i loved having the car on my lot, I even gave it a driveway... it looks silly now that its small. please give me back my car.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Very, very disappointed by the downscaling of the car... I hoped it wouldn't happen, after so much complaining, but evidently they don't care about players' opinion so much.

    ReplyDelete
  85. oh no! i'm sad to see my car turn into a miniature car. I guess that's real life, wishful thinking can only get you a toy hotwheel...but i'll take the cute mini! :)

    ReplyDelete
  86. NO NOT MY RIIIDE!

    ReplyDelete
  87. awwwwwww dang they repo'ed us.....i had mine next to my beach house in a parking space all cute like totally bummed don't care about the energy why couldn't they have taken the UGLY progressive horse.....*sigh*

    ReplyDelete
  88. The one energy a day was ok but not big enough to miss. I had it in its own little parking area that i cant remove since there isn't a grass tile.. i should be able to remove tiles without laying another down to were it goes back to the original. I do like i got to keep the Prius even small just another deco.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Yes I liked the car when it was full sized, I even put slabs down in one of my rooms to make a garage for it. Obviously I dont read stuff, was a shock when is shrunk!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  90. I don't mind losing the perks. I just wanted the car to stay big. I had just built a garage the day before it was scaled down. Had to put it on the counter in my new garage.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I didn't mind losing the perks. I did hate it when I logged the day after building a garage for it to find that tiny little thing in there. I had to put it on the counter top in the garage as model. Wish it would have stayed full size.
