The beautifully crafted Arabian Week collection may be upon us within twelve hours time but if your taste and preference in furniture doesn't feature hand made fine craftsmanship and culture and sways more towards modernism and city living then next weeks Ultra collection may give you something to look forward to in The Sims Social online Facebook game.
By the weeks 'Ultra' title, we think the developers at Playfish are referring to Ultra Modern as almost all of the items we have seen that are due to drop next week have a sleek black, straight edge design and contemporary feel with the odd brown and red piece thrown in for good measure.
The Ultra Week items above include: CitySim iBasin, CitySim iOverhead Counter, CitySim iTub, CitySim iTowel Rack, CitySim iShower, CitySim iLean Patio Railing, CitySim iSink and CitySim iPlant Leaf Vase.
The whole collection adds a touch of normality to the extensive themed collections we've all been provided since Christmas and we think come next Thursday, quite a few Littlehaven homes will see a nice refreshing update, but more traditional players may feel left out. At first glance the prices overall seem fair, with many items costing low Simoleons and no really hefty SimCash furnishings have jumped out at us at this time, but the developers are still drawing and working on them so this could all change.
What do you think of the Ultra Week collection shown above? Are you looking forward to adding a touch of modernism to your Littlehaven residence? Does The Sims Social need to add more normal looking furniture amongst its heavy themed items more often? Let us know via Facebook, Twitter, Forum, Chat Room or by leaving a Comment below.

Sure, it is a nice change from the fanciful and fun stuff that has come out for quite a long time. However, I find what I've seen of this collection incredibly ugly and boring. I doubt I'll add any to my home.
ReplyDeleteAt least I hope I can enjoy the Arabian collection coming out later tonight, without too many things being Sim Cash.
I will add, though, at least this is kind of a masculine set. I felt bad for the male players who had to put up with so many feminine weeks (pink week!) only to get sports week that really only catered to them in a very stereotypical way.
ReplyDeleteI have the same furniture in my The Sims 3 it's one of my favs ^.~
ReplyDeleteSeems very boring so far, slick, but boring... only interested in 2 items at the moment (from an earlier post, these ones all seem very meh).
ReplyDeletehmmmm... i dont know about you... but it look normal and dull to me... color and design not interesting. I am a person who like modern...The furniture shown above somehow doesn't look modern to me....
ReplyDeleteOMG I LOVE ULTRA MODERN & MODERN ITEMS!!!!!! YES I LOVE THIS THEME CANT WAIT!!!! <3 :D
ReplyDeletegreat, more cool stuff.
ReplyDeleteToo boring for me. At least when that theme comes i can save some money and get a chance leveling up on my skills :)
ReplyDeleteBoring and ugly but I understand why they are putting this out
ReplyDeleteanother black shower??? ugh
ReplyDeletei think all these items are very smart and nice for a change instead of the silly unrealistic items that have been put in the game for the past many weeks, everyone who doesn't like it are the people who only care about what they want, what about what others want, not everyone on this game is living in fantasy island like you ongoing players who are dedicating all your time to playing this.
ReplyDeleteVery ugly stuff. I do not planning to buy anything in this theme. Just waiting and exited for Fantasy theme next week.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Finally more normal and practical furniture i can use in my sims home.
