The Project Item for Spa Week is set to be the Tropical Zen Garden which we believe will be handed out Free to all players of The Sims Social on Thursday when the new Spa Week collection drops. The rewards for completing the Zen Garden seem to be pretty high with a +10,000 House Value boost upon completion of all the relevant Mastery Levels and also the chance to get your hands on the Spatacula SteamMe Sauna which will again boost your House Value by an additional +13,150 and looks stunning.
Both of these items look amazing and will almost definitely spruce your Littlehaven Shores Beach House up into the relaxing tropical paradise it was always meant to be. 54 Simoleons profit can be earned through the Zen Garden at its top Mastery Level when Inspired. To achieve the above luxuries though, you will need to have these relevant Ingredients to complete the Zen Gardens Mastery Levels:
Stage 1 - N/A
Stage 2 - 3x Goodwill, 2x Muse, 1x Love
Stage 3 - 1x Sand, 3x Dreams, 2x Relaxation
Stage 4 - 3x Sand, 3x Rakes, 3x Relaxation, 3x Love
Stage 5 - 6x Sand, 6x Rakes, 6x Relaxation, 1x Rocks
Stage 6 - 1x Rocks, 1x Water, 2x Water Bottle, 2x Sand
Stage 7 - 2x Rocks, 2x Water, 3x Ice, 3x Sand
Stage 8 - 3x Rocks, 4x Water, 4x Entertainment, 4x Sand
Stage 9 - 4x Rocks, 6x Water, 6x Love, 6x Sand
Stage 10 - 5x Rocks, 8x Water, 8x Relaxation, 8x Sand
Stage 11 - 1x Crystals, 1x Orchid, 1x Relaxation, 3x Love
Stage 12 - 3x Crystals, 3x Orchid, 3x Sand, 6x Dreams
Stage 13 - 4x Crystals, 4x Orchid, 4x Water, 4x Entertainment
Stage 14 - 6x Crystals, 6x Orchid, 6x Water, 4x Admiration
Stage 15 - 8x Crystals, 8x Orchid, 8x Water, 6x Hype
By the look of the extensive Ingredients list completing the Zen Garden may well be a very hard challenge along with completing the usual Spa Week Quest at the same time. The new Ingredients like Crystals and Orchids we believe will be dropped from the new random yard growing plants associated with the week and the new Crystal Tree Crop that should go live to coincide with the health and hygiene theme.
The Zen Garden will have many interactions associated with it once it is full built and to make the most out of it you'll need to invite a friend over to your residence to perform actions like 'Meditate, Drink From Spa, Zen Bath, Relax, Splash or Zen WooHoo' whilst the Spatacula SteamMe Suana completion reward boasts to be able to reinvigorate your Sim by being able to collect the following Ingredients and Potions every 5 hours:
Double Inspired Potions
Inspired Potions
Energy
Relaxation
Love
Goodwill
Dreams
Alongside being able to 'Reinvigorate & Collect' in the Spatacula SteamMe Sauna you will be able to 'Let Off Steam' or simply have a 'Steamy WooHoo' with that particular Neighbour you've had your eye on. Overall both items look amazing, both will boost your House Value considerably higher, both have lots of perks and interactions and in our opinion both are well worth working for.
What do you make of both the Spatacula SteamMe Sauna and Tropical Zen Garden? Do you think that there are too many Ingredients needed to complete all of the Zen Gardens Mastery Levels? Does the Sauna look it it drops good enough Ingredients and Potions? Do you think they are both beautifully drawn and crafted items? Will you be placing them in your Beach residence? Answer all of these questions by leaving a Comment below or by simply visiting our Facebook Page, Twitter, Forum or Chat Room.

im excited !!!
ReplyDeleteI can tell right away that people will start to get stuck around stage 5 and very few people will get all of those stages done in a week! That's a lot of items to collect!
ReplyDeleteThis looks cool and all, but I can tell you right now, a huge majority of people, me included, probably won't make the deadline. These timed items are meant for those that play at TSS all day long. With the request limitations of the game, getting the items necessary to unlock the levels takes too long. That's IF TSS provides enough of its own ingredients to get it done. I keep hearing about that lemon slice fiasco. Oh, boy, are players peeved about that.
ReplyDeleteOh, well.
I agree. For the first time I bought simcash to try and get the darn thing. I had to leave for church with the last tier to do. When I got back time had expired. Geez! Why can't we just buy it????
Deletewow great :)
ReplyDeleteWow, I can't wait. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat are rakes on the sims? Are they new?
ReplyDeleteI think it's over the top, in the amount of ingredients and work that we're expected to be able to do in such a short period of time. Once again Playfish is throwing us into a demanding Quest as soon as another Quest ended. With the number of neighbors I have it's impossible for me to build both of these at the same time AND have a neighbor (or neighbors)come over and help do things too.
ReplyDeleteWay over the top!! there are some ingredients that I have never heard of and of which I have none (sand, rakes, rocks, crystals & orchids) seriously you should consider giving us the opportunity of sending this ingredients as gifts since you only allow us to ask for them once in 24 hrs.
ReplyDeleteYou can ask for Crystals as gifts now.
DeleteGo to crafting and you'll see them.
Can't wait! So far all the water-related items are in simcash but for something as nice as this to be for free? EA is doing something right.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty but WAY too much work to do :((
ReplyDeleteI haven't gotten much help lately on the friends end.I'm sure the weather has alot to do with it .Just know I appreciate the challenges.
ReplyDeleteI agree with just about everyone on this... yes it looks awesome, but OMG!!! We just got done with one major quest, I think it would be appropriate @ this time for you guys to unveil something a little less ambitious. Along with my complaint(s) I have an idea of how to fix it: give us more time to do these massive quest chains, AND do not roll them out one right after another. Maybe instead of these being week long quests they could be 2 weeks long and/or you could only do 1 of these/month. The rate @ which we are being driven to complete these is insane!!! I among other long time players am headed for total SS burn out. I hope that my words do not fall upon deaf ears, because I REALLY like this game and wish to continue playing.
ReplyDeletei can't wait. . .. i just finish the 2 quest of madmen week.. i hope their will be a sale on the hairstyle. . .so excited! :D
ReplyDeleteomg...i can't wait anymore. . i just finish the 2 quest of madmen week. .and just love it . i hope their will be sale for the hairstyle...
ReplyDelete. . .
much excited for the gods week. . . .wanna be hera.. the goddess of heaven . .:D
Hera was not the goddess of heaven. The ancient Greeks didn't believe in heaven. She was the goddess of women and marriage.
DeleteWatch out, we have a Greek in the house -.-
DeleteI am a daily player, I have 20 neighbors, I play the game several times a day and I still have problems finishing these weekly quest. Not every is a daily player or even collects all the bonus. It is time for Playfish/EA to revise the questing system.
ReplyDeletethen you must need some friend or neighbor like me who always play sims, I spend 8 hours a day hahaha. I always play, collect, specially help my friends. Mia Angela Coline Pascual.
Deleteweew seems we need to redecorate again shortly :P
ReplyDeleteThis seems slightly easier than the Dragon Tower...
ReplyDeleteHope so, anyway.
When does spa week start?!
ReplyDeleteAnd as usual, as soon as Playfish gives us a quest that takes more than 2 days to finish, people start whining about how it's tooooo haaaaarrrrddd. Honestly I swear some people won't be happy until every quest is just a single button marked "Klik Heer For Big Reewurd".
ReplyDeleteThe sand, rakes and orchids all drop from stuff that spawns in the yard. The stuff in the yard spawns every single time you reload, at least two items at a time. Rocks come from a wall post and you can get 10 per post, so that's a maximum of two wall posts needed, and I've heard that they drop from the yard rocks as well anyhow.
You've been able to request crystals from your Crafting tab for the past week, and everyone knows that something that appears in the backpack is guaranteed to be needed for an upcoming quest, so if you haven't been requesting them beforehand you have only yourself to blame. They drop from the same yard rocks as the sand and rakes anyway. Everything else you need is common and probably already in your backpack.
Seriously people, this is NOT HARD. Last week's quest was finished in less than 2 days (so calling it "a major quest" is just ridiculous). This one might take 4 or 5, so YAY, something to do for most of the week!
I think it's great.
No. The game does not let post walls at this time. I have been trying to ask for rocks since the beginning, but it has been impossible. It says "invalid URL", and I'm not the only one. Have you already finished the second part?
Deletethat's easy for you to say.. for the past several months i wasn't able to finished a single quest, i always ran out of time. i don't play sims the whole day.. a little consideration from EA and playfish will be much appreciated.
DeleteIt's almost impossible when you cannot post on your wall due to "invalid url"
DeleteSomeone can tell me where do I find the sand, it tells me that it´s on the volcanic rock, but I don´t know either where is??? Someone knows????please help me!!! I really want the sauna!!!
ReplyDeleteon your yard clear the volcanic ...click 3 times..:))
DeleteITS COOL !!
ReplyDeletebut kinda suck, how bout make it a 1 day quest ? Suck my tities man..
Suckerplayfish !
1 week quest ???
ReplyDeleteBRACE YOURSELF !!!
Deadly quest is coming...........
It's a lot of work to do! :\ Looks really hard, you have to do at least 2 stages a day to make it...
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's hard, but the prize is huge! :) That Zen Spa is one of a thing and that free Spactula SteamME is like wooow O.O There are SO many things you can do with those... I'm gonna try, looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteHi! I don`t think that there are too many ingredients needed, is just that the sending and recivening request are not worcking well! Bur stilll i am very happy that this time both the sauna and the zen garden is available , no need for simcash! thanx
ReplyDeleteJust hope it isn't like the reward from the cocktail bar quest, that promised social point, and object drops every hour, and did NOTHING.
ReplyDeleteRequests aren't working again. It's already nearly impossible to finish the quests under normal circumstances, but with all that technical troubles i doubt anyone will make it all.
ReplyDeleteimprove your sending and receiving and make it possible to ask again after 4-5 hours. People with less friends will approve to it and play more frequently.
Try to get rakes is so annoying... And yes, is hard to me complete it, because my house is huge and need a lot of time to load. The volcanic rock spawns, but not give me stupid rakes... I hate this quests. Stress me a lot T___T
ReplyDeleteWell for me I think that an awesome prize (which will benefit us in the long run providing potions and other ingredients every 5 hours) really is deserving of a challenging quest. But however, I think that Playfish, especially the core producers of Sims Social should allow us players to ask for ingredients multiple times a day. I don't know with you guys but I can only send out one request PER DAY. So imagine how difficult that is for everyone. If they will make a quest as challenging as this one, Playfish should fix all their glitches and make a code that will allow us to send more than one requests per day.
ReplyDeleteTheir set-up right now is not fit for a quest like this. It's as if they are encouraging us to buy SimCash which is very costly.
That's all, thank you.
And by the way, I hope Playfish gives us the reward for finishing the Cocktail Bar Quest. The lemon slices were so hard to get! The only motivation I had was the aquarium looking tank and the social points that it will be giving off at a certain time daily. That sucked bigtime.
ReplyDeleteI guess Playfish has a lot of renovations to do first before handing us out difficult quests. And they should also make sure that they won't be giving out empty promises.
hopefully this will be easier than building the dragon castle, you can acutually earn most of the stuff, then i have around 8-9 maybe 10 friends added on hand to help, i should be done in no time, one day and im already on stage 5 near completion (8 more energies)
ReplyDeleteI just hope the reward actually gives out something, unlike the fishtank one! -_-
ReplyDeleteIt is fantastic sauna i want it so much!!!
ReplyDeleteAm VERY happy I was able to COMPLETE both Zen Garden & Spa before Mondays surgery!!! Was one of the easiest Quests thus far ;) It took only a short time to collect the last Lotus Flowers from my yard -LOL- Thankfully I knew to remove all the items off the grass before hand!!! :D
ReplyDeleteAm in the midst of a property remodel now in order to access & use both Sen Garden & Sauna! They take up lotta space but well worth it!!!
Thanks for being here!!!
~Joni
how do you geet the sand?!?!
DeleteDear Anonymous - the fish tank has been the most USEFUL item since I received it as it helps refuel communications & happiness so as not to leave home when crafting, skilling, or what have you.
ReplyDeleteSorry you find it not useful. Best to you...
They were talking about the other fish tank. The reward that never gave out the free social points and energy they said it would.
DeleteBut anyway, OMG so much water needed! can we please have so (like lots) of free water please!!!
I think there's a post that gives out 2 free water, but by the time I saw that post, I finished the stages with water. I'm up to Stage 11, but I doubt I'll finish with 3 days left...
DeleteI will never be able to finish the Zen quest cuz the game is broken. It says the issue is known but so far nothing has been done to fix it. I cannot collect anything from friends and cannot send out requests either.
ReplyDeleteYou have need a lot of stuff for de Zen chrysals! And I toucht you have need chrystals only... :(
ReplyDeleteTo craft 22 Zen chrystals, you have need 88 bling! It's to much.... Really! How can I get so muchs zen chrystals or bling?
ReplyDeleteGot the hot tub :)
ReplyDeleteIt will be good if I can have a rock or rakes or whatever, BUT...everytime I try it, the game deads...s*cks...hate it soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much...and the hit a snag....grrrr....fix it pls, it's make me sad and angry...
ReplyDeleteI'm having difficulty in crafting all the zen crystals needed for last couple of stages :(((
ReplyDeleteP.s. I always get sand or rakes from volcanic stones, never crystals!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it strange how every time you reload the game, all vulcanic stones, lotus, etc. disappear but 'regular' weeds are permanent?!
ReplyDeleteI so hope im able to get through this madness in time, im almost at stage 3 with 4 days left... seems im gonna be doing a lotta lotta requesting!
ReplyDeleteI really need to say that if we are going to make the deadline for Spa week...then we really need to be able to send our Sims friends that actually play requests for things. I keep getting the same list of friends that have long stopped playing, so they are not responding, I am waiting day after day to be able to submit to active friends...;(
ReplyDeletei likea a free sims cash to finish tropical zen garden
ReplyDeleteLove it very much but it is too difficult to get all those crystals needed :(
ReplyDeleteNeed rocks!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am trying to achieve building the zen garden however it seems impossible. Unfortunately I do not have the liberty of playing 24-7...so its hard for me to acquire all that is needed.
ReplyDeleteIf I want to finish this quest I have to gather 36 crystals and 72 blings... In 3 days!!! It's impossible so I can just dream of SteamMe Sauna ;< The orchids aren't such a problem but still - even if I spent all of my SimCash, I wouldn't be able to finish the quest on time despite the fact that I'm a daily player and I play TSS many times a day
ReplyDeletehow can you get hype and admiration
DeleteYou have to get your friends to click on the wall post requesting for them.
DeleteI'm on Stage 8, about to reach up to Stage 9, and I HIGHLY doubt I can finish this in 4 days... I usually don't do these kind of things (Seeing as I didn't attempt for the fountain or tower) but the reward [Sauna] seems very nice which drops items every 5 hours, looks nice to the vacation house, and the sauna makes a good item to be placed in the bathroom!
ReplyDeleteI think its over the top, they shouldn't make a 3 stage item be a one week quest. :/
ReplyDeleteI am requesting RAKES but there's a bug and I just keep getting sand - so much sand that my backpack can't accept any more sand!!! PLEASE SOMEONE FIX THIS.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I can't send out the Crystals request!!!!......But I still need a lot of them....
ReplyDeletewell it shows it send out, but my frds say they couldn't receives my requests!!NOTHING!!!....
is it some kind of bugs??
what should I do?...:(
I can't make crystals.I can't find blings.This so hard.
ReplyDeletePlease, please, please extend the time for the Zen Garden Quest!! I am on stage 12 and so close to finishing it but the problem is that I can't receive gifts from my neighbours, I can't post the links because an error occurs and then I have to wait 24hrs in order to post it again. Making zen crystals are an effort - waiting 28hrs for the crystals to grow, then sending out gift requests, which I then don't even receive the gift in the end!!! Only 2 days left for me now! :'( Please let have more time, lots of other people need more time too!
ReplyDeletei need bling please
ReplyDeleteThis is the worst quest i haven't seen before. The ingredients is too too much to need and the time is too short. Seems people cannot complete without using gold coins. Why the quest need the zen crystal with total 22 (the information is wrong, the quest need "zen crystal"! not "crystal") And, the zen crystal need "craft". So how people can make more than 100 crystal to craft? 28 hours for 5 crystal, then you need to spend more than 10 days but still not enough!!! Please check the quest and see how to improve it.
ReplyDeleteThere game messes up and I cant finish my quest : / ......
ReplyDeleteIs it just me or is it impossible to get crystals from clearing volcanic rocks??? I've been playing every hour since the quest started and refreshing the game to get new volcanic rocks but I have NOT been able to get a single crystal?? The request from friends is also a little buggie...at this rate I don't think I'll finish. So sad. :(
ReplyDeletePlease extend the time because this is turning into a pain. Im at the second to last quest.
ReplyDeleteis there any chance to extend the time for this quest? :( 3 stages more but it's really hard to collect all the materials, especially for the zen crystals which require me to craft it. pleaseeeeeeeeeeee :( :( :(
ReplyDeleteim getting really p****d off with this game now :( im on level 2 and cant find anymore sodding rocks!i must get 1 rock thing in my garden every couple of hours and then it dosent dish out rocks or sand.ive not completed any quests and cant go to work as all my energy goes into building this zen garden, and then if i do end up completeing it i wont have anywhere to put the sauna as theys too much bloody leaves and twigs on the ground to clear!!! getting worked up now and thats not right is it :(:(
ReplyDeleteOn my last stage! so flipping close! if the errors would just stop!
ReplyDeletemany of my friends are not playing sims social now, so it harder to collect any stuff, morever u need to craft 24 crystals...terrible!
ReplyDeleteJust two more stages and I would be done. Only I can't send any requests for bling or crystals. That really sucks after all that work. And than I finally find a chest on my lawn, it produces two blings and guess what: they didn't count. Same with the orchids. Ghost orchids ghost bling. Too frustrating to go on like that.
ReplyDelete... this is turning into a pain. the last 2 skills. no comment.
ReplyDeleteThey really need to figure out the glitches in this game..... I try to send sand and fail to ever get anything in return. Am i just wasting my time here? Atleast make it a little easier to obtain some of these items or figure out a better way to aquire these items instead of mindless requests to friends who in my game never seem to get my requests and thus fail to complete any of the challanges.
ReplyDeleteOn stage 15...need to unlock it! Grrr! its really hard! luckily for me and lots of other players they have given us 3 extra days to complete! :) yay!
ReplyDeleteThank god they extended it by 3 days (or at least that's what I think. Last night I panicked because it said there was only 2 days left, but right now, there's 5 days left, and I'm collecting things to craft for stage 14! The 8 crystals for the final stage is still crazy, but I think I can manage with 5 days left!)
ReplyDeletewhats with adding neighbours and not getting the cimcash for it?
ReplyDeleteBling! Bling needed!!And crystal too!
ReplyDeleteHow can I get water bottle?
ReplyDeletePlease spawn more items in the yard that will drop bling! I think it's fair to the players that go on religiously to try and get items from their yard whilst they wait for their friends to reply their requests.
ReplyDeleteThe sauna is ridiculous. I completed the Zen Garden and at first it would refresh every 5 hours. Last time I checked it was now 8 or 9 hours. When it drops anything, potions or energy, it doesn't store the time, but instead makes you use it right away. After using it about 4 times it now needs to be repaired and instead of the simple fix like everything else, you need about 8 logs, 6 water drops and 4 herbs. That is complete and utter garbage. This was a waste of my time.
ReplyDeleteI can't send my request for Hype, the feed never loads and whenever I try to log back in acts like I already posted the request! There's only one day left to get Hype and I don't think I'll make it in time.
ReplyDeleteMy requests for blings can never be sent out! How?!?! I can never finish this quest and I'm at the last stage already :(
ReplyDeletei'm on stage 13 but can't get anyone to send me the things i need :( really hope i can do it!
ReplyDeleteHas anyone stopped to think that their main objective is hoping you'll cave and pay for some of this stuff? These quests are unrealistic in the amount of items you must ask for- Hammers and rocks- I'm about to go mad lol. I'm at a total stand still right now, and refuse to pay for any of these items. I trade with friends, I visit 3 sites for freebies, and load the game several times a day. It's ridiculous and enough to make you develop OCD.For me it's getting to where it's not that much fun anymore.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm also finding that there a a few items I keep asking friends for over and over, and I never get one of them. I'm starting to think there's a glitch.
ReplyDeleteWell, I didn't finish in time for the sauna, but I'll still master this for the House Value Boost! Disappointed, but it was my first attempt at a chain quest or project, and I came extremely close(was on stage 15, gathering crystals) so hopefully they have something just as nice next time.
ReplyDeleteThe repairing thing is definitely ridiculous. After all that effort spent building it, you have to collect further ingredients everytime it breaks.
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!! I'd missed Spa Week???? It's absolutely DAMN for me!!!!
ReplyDeleteThere were so many stuff I wanted but I already missed it T^T
Hello, Mr./Ms. Sims could you please once again to launch another Spa Week such as Salon Week or Dove Spa Week...
Everytime I go to collect my rewards from steamme sauna, an error code pops up and it says it has to reload the game... Seriously? I worked hard on that quest for more glitches? grrrr. FIX IT.
ReplyDeleteEverytime I go to collect my rewards from the sauna, an error code pops up and says it needs to reload. All that hard work on the Zen Garden for more glitchy headaches. I have tried to collect like 20 times after restarting my comp. and clearing browsing data and still nothing is working. I want my rewards!!!! I am starting to feel like you should pay me to play this game.
ReplyDeleteomg! like... help! seriously!
ReplyDelete
