EXCLUSIVE | Full Ataraxia Leisure Pool Details

Possibly one of the most anticipated Special Items ever to be released into The Sims Social online Facebook game in its history is the Ataraxia Leisure Pool and it should be with us in less than three days when the two week Pool Theme begins on Thursday 10th May.

This new Swimming Pool will have a huge four stages but what's different about it is that the first three stages will be a Project Item where players will have to build the pool and once those are completed the Ataraxia Leisure Pool will become an Athletic Skill Item that will offer 10 Mastery Levels and the opportunity to gain an additional +20 Athletic Skill Levels where its top 'Freestyle Swim' level will be able to earn its Sim owners 51 Simoleons profit when inspired.

We believe that the Ataraxia Leisure Pool will be handed out to all players for Free and you'll have the duration of two weeks to complete it as a Project Item however this has not been confirmed by Playfish as yet. 1. ehh not asking for much as usual! I play SS a few times a day for these items and to complete tasks but they are getting bigger and bigger, and without adding every stranger in the world to your FB page to play you can forget completion...sickening :(

    2. I agree, they have made these tasks impossible for those of us that can't spend every waking moment in sims to complete some of these tasks. "sigh"

    3. That is how the whole "free-to-play" marketing strategy works: Build desire for virtual "things". Then make it difficult or impossible to have some of the best "things" unless the player antes up real $. They want us to feel frustrated so we'll spend real money to alleviate the frustration.

    5. yes its tru. especially with all these task the "ask your friends" bull crap with a comment posted on your timeline.. they do that so they wont have to give away the "prizes" at the end of the quest. assholes.

    6. I have 3hrs left and is so annoyed with this game. I worked really hard on this quest like every other quest they throw at me, but as usual, when I'm almost at the end of the task everything starts giving trouble, and my friends don't ever get my requests....I'm just so sick of it!

  5. so discouraged that you need to get so much stuff for these quests. bugging friends who are also trying to get items is tiresome...the developers should reconsider how much is needed. sims social is definitly no longer fun...

  8. I hope I can complete it at my leisure, like I'm doing with the Zen Garden at the moment - I didn't care for the sauna so I didn't rush and stress. Surely the pool won't break or vanish if you merely fail to complete it within two weeks? Here's hoping it's just more the Sims' biggest skill item yet, rather than another barely-possible project item...

    1. I never finished the sauna it took way too much energy and not enough time to do it and have a real life also . We have 2 weeks to finish the pool quest but I'm believing if it's not finished on time, we won't get the house value which is huge !

  9. I only hope it won't stop working in the middle of the quest.
I still can't finish the jukebox to get my roller skates.

    1. I have a friend who finished the quest and couldn't collect the prizes and was told she needed another one . Not sure what they meant by that , neither is she . I felt so bad for her she used a ton of energy as we all did and spent all that time and they wouldn't give her her rewards !

      Delete
    2. I agree with you my game stopped working at time and wouldn't let me play like now. but oh well i guess nothing i can do about it. ill keep on trying to finish if i can.

      Delete
    3. hey i agree with you too! i experienced the same thing. i mean the previous quest ; roller shoe thing . i was on the last skill to get the shoe on the LAST DAY and im like so confident then i completed the thing then it said its completed then i went to the storage to find my reward and its isnt there then i click on the juke box to clarify and it said it ask me to invite my friend over and i did that then friend came over and use the juke thing then the new another set of skills pop up. then im like fucking sad im its impossible to learn another sets of skills in a few hours before the deadline. :( i damn sad. i didnt see theres "1/2", "2/2" stages on top of the set of skills. haiz :( plus. when i was far from the deadline, i couldnt receive the quests and all. then last minute sims social bug is fixed thats why i was rushing. totally sucks la this case :( not fucking fair.

  11. Not difficult much, eh? Honestly, I was only able to finish the last quest because I had a lot of free time at hand. I probably spend at least 3-4 hours a day throughout the entire quest. As much as I would like that pool, but really, I've got stuff to do.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'm so excited right now I can't say! True it would be a huge help to have less items, or even more items that you can collect before the quest starts; but truthfully I feel the pool is it's own reward. I've been following it's development for weeks and can't wait to add it to my beach house (which seriously needs to be upgraded.)

    1. my friend lexibuford plays and worked on her pool the entire summer she attempted to meet the quest deadline however... it was futile but glad to say she FINALLY finished it November 17th... just 6months after she started.... now she is blowing up the ball and such... yea- personally the game crashes A LOT! (unfortunately-cuz its a great game).... I have ventured to SIMCITY- game is WAY better.. easy to use- easy to exchange supplies for simoleons and visa versa... you don't have to ask a ton of people to joint because your friends lists are automatically incorporated into your city and you put them to work and they live in your city...etc...

  13. why so much stuff...sims social not fun anymore.....

  14. Excited about the pool but it is getting so time consumming to finish the quests, makes it more stressful rather than fun to play. If the stress of the finishing the quests do not lower I may not play any more as I can not let a game take over my life.

  15. i agree with everyone above,, its tooo much i dont have time or the neighbors to sit on this game all day to try and rush to get stuff done,, they need to lower the ''ingredients'' list i guess u could say,, i know games r meant to b a challenge but not nearly impossible! itstead of crafting things it should jus b one of an item we need

    ReplyDelete
  16. I agree with everybody who is complaining about the huge amount of help and ingredients required to finish quests in time.
I play the game about 4~5 times a day, have a lot of wonderful neighbours to help and even this way I´m not able to finish this week´s quest in time, the Jukebox.
The game sometimes gets so frustrating, instead of a way to help us have fun and relax, it stresses us out.
So, I have low expectations about this pool and I am not excited at all.

  20. The amount of whining people do about these quests is unbelievable. If you look at what's posted on this site and pay attention to which items you can get from skilling on things you already have, which ones you can get via free gits (e.g. muse, love, goodwill), which you can get from interactions that don't need energy (entertainment, buzz, relaxation, drams, soft pillows, water etc), the number of things you need to request from neighbors is relatively small. Use your brain and co-operate with your friends, for god's sake. Play more and complain less.

It's just ridiculous how often I see people on the forum whining that they have been 'waiting for two days for Melody!!!!!!" when they could have gotten them in five minutes from skilling. Unless the bugs are affecting you so badly that you can play at all, these quests are perfectly easy to do in the time limit. And this time they're giving you two weeks. Either try a bit harder, or go play Bubble Witch where you won't have to actually think.

Pool quest looks great, requirements seem very reasonable. I hope the new items like armbands etc drop while you're building and skilling, but even if they don't, two weeks is at least twice as much time as that quest should take.

Of course the Special Entitled Snowflakes will still be all over the forum in two weeks time insisting that there's "not enough time" and demanding extensions. They're not going to be happy until the game is dumbed down so much that Tea Party voters could play it.

    1. Do you have a life outside of Sims ? Most of us do . I have tons of friends , a lot of ingredients BUT the quests such as visit neighbors houses for dirty items or collecting other such thing in your garden can stop you from being able to complete the quests after working so hard and completing all other tasks ! I finished the last quest BUT the pink weed you had to collect in your yard Showed up ONCE in my garden ... on one day then the quest ended ! I checked every day and it wasn't there ! Then after the alloted time for the quest ended , for days after I had that weed show up ! There are a lot of glitches that make this not enjoyable and I don't think anyone is whining but have very legitimate complaints

      Delete
    2. I agree with you! Finally someone smart, everyone are always complaining because of the game,so if they don't like it,they shouldn't play it!This quest is the best of all, sauna was awesome but this is much better and I'm really excited about it.Feel free to add me, Teta Mici on Facebook! :))

      Delete
    3. I completed the jukebox with a day to spare but not once during the entire quest did I get a melody drop so don't assume everyone gets the same things as you do. People have every right to make valid complaints, just as you have the right to whine about people whining.

      Delete
    4. Not everyone is having trouble playing the game. Some people are having more trouble compared to others so you can't really complain about how much people are complaining. Luckily it seems like you haven't really had much trouble but many other players can't even load the game. I too have been able to finish all the quests but many of my friends haven't. So for all those people WHINING about other people WHINING, you must know that no everybody is experiencing the same difficulty in playing the game.

    5. yeah I was at the very last stage in the sauna quest and my game stopped working......... for a week! I couldn't get items, couldn't request, couldn't accept anything, at the LAST stage, 3 away lines from being done. You wanna keep saying "stop whining" well, I hope when there's an item you've been waiting for forever the game glitches on you like it did for me. I couldn't get the sauna because of that glitch, I wanted that sauna for almost a year, I even built a fake sauna hoping they would give us one, then they do and I miss out because they glitched. So, just because the game worked all hunky dory for you doesn't mean it is for the rest of us.

  22. i knefw it... a bunch of junk and a little time to do it... and all the errors that the world needs and other crap... had to spend simoleons on this stupid game because juke box wall feeds gave me errors 3 of the 6 days required to complete only to realize it wasn't worth it... not wasting my time doing another worthless timed quest.

    ReplyDelete
  23. from now on i'll just do builds when i feel like it... not wasting my time and effort on a quest that's not worth it. +50,000 is not worth it.

  24. No wonder thousands are quitting TSS every day.. too many glitches, bugs, error codes.EA obviously don't give a stuff about their players.
Shut the game down for a few days, fix all the errors & start afresh properly !

  25. I skipped the last quest--not that into the 50's--but I have done all other quests, and always finish with time to spare. My sugesstions are much the same as in the last post: use this site for a heads up, and skill to generate needed items.

Also, using the information from this site, you can start collecting what you need if you have other opportunites to ask for an item: say you need Relaxation for a existing skill level--or once the quest starts--you know you will need the same items later on--ask more people than you need for the immediate task, that way you'll breeze through later on.

In addition, make sure you really do have enough neighbors. You can set your SIMS-only friends to "restricted" so that you don't have to worry about "all the strangers" accessing your fb, just make sure your game posts are set to "public."

I wish all my SIMS friends would use an auto collect app. I do, an I run it every time I play (multiple times a day).

Generate items for your friends by posting from activities such as: watching tv together on a visit (goodwill), having people over for a visit (love); visiting by going through the Wonderland mirror (+3 energy), etc. Have the sort of neighbors who will return the favor (talk to them about it!). That way, instead of burning your once-a-day requests on these common items, you can just run your auto collect and gather in the harvest.

Be a giver, cultivate good neighbors, communicate with them, watch out for them, and expect the same in return.

Besides, if this site is accurate, we'll have 2 weeks to get the pool done, and it looks like a lot of fun. :)

  26. I won't be able to finish this quest in time. I have not been able to finish the last two quests and they were a little less than this one. I really wanted the roller skates but couldn't do it. Why do they make it so difficult for us to get nice things?

    ReplyDelete
  27. I agree it is irritating to put up with the amount of game crashes and bugs we face ... and it is time consuming to do the quests.
But there are things you can do to be prepared for them. Having daily players is definitely a key. Questing always requires help from your neighbours and unless you have a good amount of those on hand, you will never finish in time. Also sending out and stocking up your energy bars makes a MASSIVE difference in the time you will spend.

    ReplyDelete
  28. absolute rubbish, to be honest i play sims social more than 14 hours a day, since the game was in beta, everyday. and i have only been able to complete a few of the projects, it is horrible how difficult and complicated this game is becoming, so not fun, and the bugs and crashes in the game? how halfassed is EA? put out a solid working game, not this shit you perpetrate as a way to relax, such lies!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. The Sims Social has stopped being "social" and become commercialized.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Well, I haven't been able to send a request in two weeks and I don't see any way I can do the pool without asking friends for help so I guess I just don't get the pool.

    ReplyDelete
  31. So the pool turns into an athletic skill item? Does that mean people without the athletic trait won't be able to progress considering I can't progress on the runner thing without changing my whatever's called?

    ReplyDelete

    1. What are you talking about?

Athletic Skill Item means something like the Yoga Mat and Treadmill. Nothing to do with your traits. :S
Of course you can use it.

  32. I loved this game when I first started playing, but unless you have about 50 active daily players, a few hours a day and possibly spend real money on virtual stuff you never get the quests complete. I like doing the quests, but these ridiculously timed quests is BS. I think I am going to just gift for awhile until the game has less stress than real life. Games are supposed to be fun. :(

    ReplyDelete
  33. This is too much, I'm recovering after win the last week challenges and now other terrible week starts.. I'm really tired and can't stay all day on the computer. I have to say the game is fabulous and the prizes are amazing, but are so difficult to complete. Please give us an easy week for relax a little!

    ReplyDelete
  34. I completely agree I stay on here alot but even still its soo diffacult to get things to complete quests espically when it tells you you have reached your limit for asking for things I get really tiered of finishing one thing only to find out there are fifty other things to get done and ten other quest with very little time to finish them its a bit over whelming and really puts stress in my life when i play games to relieve stress.then the prizes are crap the sauna breaks every five munites and you havet to have a butt load of things to repair it . And really adding people from different countries yeah not a big fan they need to fix things and be prepared for people to play the game before they start releasing things example juke box and sauna !Listen to us we play the game and you make it with out us the game wont work!!!

  40. Guys, the game is free, so stop whining! If you think the +50K is stupid, then complete it at your leisure. No one told you you had to finish it. It's a game. If it's not fun for you anymore, find one that is suitable for you.

I play ~an hour a day and my pool is 4 stages from being done. I finished the jukebox in roughly eight hours. You just have to add people from the Sims Social facebook page (this is why it's called Sims SOCIAL, you meet new people)... and come to this website to find out what you're going to need, then prepare by getting some of the stuff before the building project starts. Also, it helps to save your energy. If you send everyone on your list energy, they will send it back and you can hold a LOT of energy. Then you don't have to wait an hour for your bar to fill up. For example, I used 200 energy today that I had and almost finished the pool. I didn't play for very long at all!

  41. They're actually giving us a break! THANK YOU.

Its 00:42 on Friday, 24 hours after the newest quests dropped. I've finished the Prius quest, I'm halfway through the Pool Party quest (up to the part where it says 'come back tomorrow' which I will, and I'm on the middle part of the pool. Haven't spent a single simcash. :)

The items are a lot easier to get hold of on this.. a lot of it I had hanging around from my beach house.

And with 9 days to complete, thats more than enough time to ask for the things I don't have.

I'd also like to point out I'm the person you always see on here with all the complaints, sarcasm and sad faces... for once I'm happy. :)

  42. OK, I took a long break from the Sims because it takes soooo long to load & many bugs as well as too much to do to get quests done, I have been a Sims fan since the dark ages when it first originated, I kinda miss the Playstation way of playing, but any whoo,,, It took me 24 hrs to do a tiny bit of catching up, still so much I need to do, but after $300.00 and continuously refreshing I have completed the pool, now I have never & WILL never pay for virtual crap again, but I have a stupid tiny virtual pool that took half my rent to get, how crazy was I today? This is way beyond ridiculous for a game that is SUPPOSE to be oh whats the word,,,,FUN --so NOT..

  43. So the "pooling resources" quest itself isn't timed [to get the free mini bar]... if we don't care about the 50k house value, there's no need to panic! We can just finish the pool like any other untimed quest and still get a free item. That's what I'm doing. :)

  47. Its really hard to finish each task and also its need a lot of energy...sometimes when i like to post something it wont even show, at the moment this flipper..when i wanted to share it i simply wont get the pop up window and now i have to wait 24 hours before i can repost it...if u do not spend simcash..u might not finish this quest in time cause of the reloading and snaging problems as well...and also u have to wait for the ingredients from your neigbours as well.i not even say that a lot of new items need building as well which u must ask your neigbour to complate them.so either u build your pool or u build your new furniture...i really not like this furniture building...if u spend money to buy it..why u must still build it as well???

    ReplyDelete
  48. why can't i request from my friends playing the game the items that I need for my pool and can't get the items back!!! IT will always say!!!!!!!! Another glicht url object.
    RELOAD...RELOAD....RELOAD...RELOAD..RELOAD....

  49. I think my only problem with the quests is that they're adding so many "parts" to each section, like the Jukebox First, you need to obtain the following 3 items for the BIG question by either buying them or completing skill sets, and even with skill set items they've now been divided into 2 - 3 parts, which each individual skill taking from 5 energy (at the beginning) to over 40+ energy to complete. I'm not complaining about parts so much as I'm complaining about the length of quests, which are usually now available a little less than a week.

That's my two cents, at least.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I just got 2 more steps to go and i'm done with this pool. Need Bricks and Flippers for the most part. The wall feed ones are a pain. Specially if you have neighbors that won't return the favor.

  51. I've sent many requests to my friends, and they've told me that they can't see the requests on the game, however they can see it on their notifications that I have sent them requests. How am I supposed to finish this quest if I can not receive the items I need?! Please fix this!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. you can only send one request a day to each friend

      Delete
    2. You mean they get the notification but it doesn't show up in-game?

Yes, I've had that problem, its nothing to do with the daily limit (know-it-all above!) - its a glitch that stops your request from appearing. Even if you only send one. Its ridiculous.

****, that idiot at 10:39 has irritated me. Learn to read!

    3. It has happened to me too, not anymore (i dunno why)

    5. I think I have this problem too & it really sucks. I'd really like the pool, but if your friends can't send you the items you need (that you can't get any other way), then you can't complete it. I hope this bug is corrected, soon. :(

  52. how do you get the pool to stop reloading when you try to complete it?

    1. POSSIBLE FLIPPER GLITCH SOLUTION

Hi guys, I was having the same problem, where my friends would click on the flipper wall post to give me one, but I wouldn't receive it. I did 2 things & then all the flippers sent to me appeared!

      1) I put the pool into storage, then tried to find a place for it at my Sim's regular house (there wasn't room, but I hovered it around & clicked to rotate it.) Then I put it back into storage.

      2) I removed & deleted all my scuba gear (mask, flippers, wet suit, oxygen tank).

Next time I loaded the game, the flippers were there! I put my pool back on my beach house lot & was FINALLY able to skill to the next level. So, I'm not sure why, but if you're having trouble with the pool, doing one or both of those things MAY fix it. Hope I helped (& no more glitches will occur with the pool!)

  60. I like the game but I feel I don't want to play it anymore because the time limits annoy me, I never have time to complete anything anymore :( I probably won't be able to complete the pool either. I have one friend who plays, the others have stopped.

  61. Do I need to complete the athletic skills to get the +50K? cuz I only need 2 more of stage 3
    Thanx

  62. I cant get White Essence from white items!! WHY??

    ReplyDelete
  63. No you don't need to complete the Athletic to get the +50K. That's just for building the Pool in a certain amount of time.

I'm on the last Athletic part and it's wrong it's 1 Peach not 10.

  64. We have few time to complete this and I can't send request since yesterday :( These quests suck.

  70. THATS IT!!!! I AM GOING TO DELETE THE SIMS SOCIAL. I am so irritated. You should too. It is not worth playing any more.

  71. I would enjoy the game immensely if not for the inbox issues of not being able to retrieve or return requests. The least Playfish can do is offer more time to those with game problems.

  72. I would ask for the stuff I required to build it but never got the stuff. Same happened with my friends. Well now the time is up, finally the stuff have been sent and there isn't any any energy left. Buhbyee leisure pool.Miss you just like all the other difficult task wins, we've missed because the bug that wont allow me to receive gifts.

  73. For people who say that it's easy doing quests and stuff, taking time out to collect the ingredients from certain actions/skills, and it's a free game so we're really not entitled to be so demanding - not all of us here have the time/energy to do so (because of work and an actual life out of the Sims Social), friends willing to help you out on quests and links, and have been really lucky getting "drops" from said actions/skills to get ingredients. With just 15 energy to use (regardless of level), you can only do so much. Sending free gifts and ingredients is a wonderful way to get what you need, but not all of your friends would be willing to send you some back (only those who are really active). Then those cursed snags/glitches that prevent us from doing anything at all, or even finishing timed quests. The list goes on and on, but I guess you get the general idea.

What I am starting to dislike about SS is its never ending stream of quests. I will say that I do not mind quests, but quests that happen EVERY week (sometimes, it starts right at the middle of the current quest week), timed quests, quests with completion levels, quests with ingredients you can only get through posted links - it's getting to a point that it's getting frustrating and annoying. Ever since these quests started, I have not been able to finish other normal quests - SS doesn't allow for a breather. I can understand they want their players to have the most fun out of the game because quests, but quests after quests after quests with quests over quests over quests are already becoming tiring. The gifts/rewards are for most part awesome, but getting these prizes require players to devote much of their time to do 3 different quests at the same time to get one prize is a bit too much. This doesn't even include ingredients that you may need to build to complete that step of the quest, or that you need certain items in your house to collect key ingredients from as well. It's a free game, and we can choose to ignore quests if we want to (we can choose quests where we really want the prizes), but sometimes it's too hard for players who want to have everything/collect everything on their Sims' houses (and it may be also due to the fact that the prizes really are unique and really do awesome stuff like what the sauna does for example so there won't be a need to craft potions).

@ the Anonymous who has a problems receiving ingredients from wall posts, you can try logging out of SS and then connecting to it again. I have that happen to me too, sometimes the game just needs to be refreshed (by logging out and logging in again).

  76. I agree this game has become a real hassle, and everyone I know has stopped playing it for the same reasons. I'm pretty much the only one left playing and I feel like such a loser asking for stuff. I'm quitting!

  77. why cant i finish my pool it says Complete this project to unlock new interactions! ??

what the hell is wrong with sims again

  78. i haven't completed ANY of the quests because of the time limit and the list of ingredients. It's crazy because there's school, homework, and chores before there's time to do TSS. And I have to spend like 4-6 hours playing to gather ingredients and wait for energy to load. i thought the Sims would be a fun and challenging game, but now it's just impossible and stressful. And none of that is fun :(
