Home of the Month | May

It's time to crown our ninth The Sims Social Fansite Home of the Month winner. With around 600 entries, the competition has been the closest yet and the Top 5 have changed positions many times during the voting process by judges along with the public vote, but the final decision has been made and the winner of 250 SimCash is stated below.

The Sims Social Fansite team have been voting on May's Top 25 Houses for the past week and including the public vote via The Sims Social Fansite Facebook Page. We also this month asked previous winners of the Home of the Month competition who didn't have a home in this months selection to vote which really shook things up a bit, however a winner has been chosen based on the usual points system scale. As usual all of The Sims Social homes entered have been judged on Style, Space, Design, Flow, Beauty, Creativity and Originality regardless of SimCash purchases or House Value.

As we have stated earlier, the Top 5 was so close this month, in fact there was only two points within all five entries. It's almost a fully new line up of contestants in the final five this month with a rather large and wacky entry by Devi Lange, a miniture Beach House nightclub by Feri Acension which the judges loved for the detailing of the toilet quarters and beautiful downstairs area, it was also a nice touch to place other Sims partying inside. As far as detail goes, no one had done it better than Angela Winata who's The Sims Social house kept a Medieval yet romantic quaint setting that had a theme and stuck to it. Then in second place, making the Top 5 for a record four months in a row was Home of the Month veteran and overall The Sims Social house building talent WooHoo Sims who continues to make a name for himself. This time around he has gone for a wooden paradise lodge design that is bright, cheerful and would not be turned down by anyone for a relaxing vacation stay.

(From Top Left to Bottom Right) 5th - Devi Lange 4th - Feri Acension 3rd - Angela Winata 2nd - WooHoo Sims

The winner of the May 2012 Home of the Month competition is however Jovii Benalcazar from Ecuador who's home was not only a huge fan favourite in the public vote but also wow'd judges and past winners with the sheer brilliance in stacking ability by creating a Ferris Wheel attraction in Littlehaven. We believe that this staggering creation needs to be shown off to the whole The Sims Social universe for its sheer creativity and design and very much deserves a place on The Sims Social Fansite for the rest of the month until a new winner is crowned in June.

The winner of next months competition will also have the chance of winning our amazing 250 SimCash prize! So get your The Sims Social houses pruned and into ship shape and enter June's 'Home of the Month' competition by going to our Forum and uploading your The Sims Social home pictures under Home of the Month>June. The forum topic is now open and will be until the end of the month. You MUST remember to add a link to your Facebook profile with your submission and 'Share' at least one of our articles from the past month to be eligible to win, as quite a few were yet again disqualified this month for not following the rules.

  1. it's very creative, but there were other houses that i wished would have gotten more votes. it feels like, just because you can stack well, it gives you an advantage over everyone else. maybe there should be stacking and non-stacking categories?

Still they are all very good, just a bit confused as to how so many sims in one house?

  8. WOW! I'm speechless! I wish I had the ability to build like that, too... But I'm not. Still learning, but have not yet managed get the hang of stacking, because it takes time... So this houses are of great inspiration! I did not understand how it's possible to how all that many people in the same house at the same time, though, is it for real? or is it photoshoped? but I guess that is not allowed, so how? I'm blowed away by the winner of the month, totally!! Well done!!
