Prepare For..... Pool Week 1

Next week our Sims will be stripping down and taking a dip as The Sims Social drops its first of two collections designed around Poolside activities and items, so in this weeks Prepare For... article we will be giving you an overview of the important items, clothing and features set to drop via Pool Week 1, as well as what you'll need to prepare you for the upcoming Pool Theme Quests and general tips to help get you through the week.

Skill & Project Items

The first and most anticipated Project Item to drop during Pool Week 1 is the Ataraxia Leisure Pool which will have three huge stages to complete if you want to build this new Swimming Pool, get a huge +50,000 House Value boost and the ability to Swim with Neighbours and even nude. The Ataraxia Leisure Pool has 23 Mastery Levels in total and can earn you 58 Simoleons profit when inspired at its top level. We understand that the Pool will be handed out for Free to everyone.

You can read our Exclusive New Swimming Pool article here.

The Re-Lux Deluxe BBQ Grill should drop into The Sims Social online Facebook game on Monday 14th May for around 36 SimCash, this price will rise to 48 SimCash after an initial 25% Special Item Sale promotes the Cooking Skill Items release. This new outdoor food cooker will boost your House Value by +7100, has 10 Mastery Levels that will help you earn an additional +21 Cooking Skill Levels and can earn you 60 Simoleons profit when inspired via its top Mastery Level.

You can read a more extensive item preview of the Re-Lux Deluxe BBQ Grill here.

The third and final money earning item to arrive in The Sims Social next week is the 9000 Simoleons Re-Lux RefreshMaster Mini Bar which we believe will also be a Cooking Skill Item. This poolside drinks creator should be available from Thursday, holds 10 Mastery Levels, has a +5950 House Value, can raise your Cooking Skill Level by +21 and will earn you 60 Simoleons profit when inspired at its top level.

You can read a more extensive item preview of the Re-Lux RefreshMaster Mini Bar here.

Quests

The good news for the first Pool themed week in The Sims Social is that there doesn't look to be any timed Quest, instead it is replaced by the Return Of The Toyota Prius. You can earn the new Toyota Prius C by completing the below very easy Quest. There is nothing really special we can tell you that will speed things up, as the Quest is easy enough, just simply make sure you have the items out in your home that are listed below.

Quest: Sporty C Search
Parts: 3
Neighbours Needed: 2
Ingredients Needed: 3x Goodwill
Items Needed: Computer, Mailbox, TV, Telephone
Minimum Social Points Needed: 0
Minimum Simoleons Needed: 0
Estimated Difficulty: 1/5

Overall the main Pool Party! Quest doesn't seem overly difficult either as it only spans over 5 parts, doesn't need much if any currency to complete it and mainly asks you to visit Bella's house to try out some of the new Special Items released as part of Pool Week 1. A few tips to get started on now is to have a couple of blue items in your home to collect Blue Essence from, start planting some Pumpkins 4 hours before midnight (GMT) tomorrow as you'll need eight to complete one of the tasks and that should give you a nice head start and also put some Wardrobes and Bedroom Cabinets out because your Sim will need a good rummage through them towards the back end of the Quest.

Quest: Pool Party!
Parts: 5
Neighbours Needed: 8
Ingredients Needed: 2x Blue Essence, 5x Sponge, 12x Delicious Morsel, 15x Goodwill, 15x Relaxation
Items Needed: Swimming Pool, Wardrobe, Sofa
Minimum Social Points Needed: 0
Minimum Simoleons Needed: 0
Estimated Difficulty: 3/5

Limited Edition Timed Items

The Limited Edition Timed Item for the first period of the Pool Theme in The Sims Social online Facebook game is the Re-Lux Premier Hammock. This huge sheltered relaxation device will be released throughout the limited period of Friday to Tuesday and is set to cost a whopping 109 SimCash but will boost your House Value by an enormous +16,100. There will be quite a number of nicely animated interactions as part of this new summer Hammock, we'll go into more detail of them in a future article.

Special Reward Items

The Special Reward Items that can be earned from the various items and Quests for Pool Week 1 are the cute Crab Plushy for completing the Swimming Pool Project Item in time. The amazing and stunningly beautiful Bahama Stone Shower that is worth 79 SimCash and +11,700 House Value for completing the Pool Party! Quest in time and the new Toyota Prius C Car for of course completing the other Pool Week Quest within the set time period.

  4. Other then not being thrilled that mostly everything is only available for purchase via Simcash.. I am WAY excited for this pool theme! I will be putting the pool with my Littlehaven house, not my beach house. For two reasons: one, I can't go to my beach house without getting the reload message. Two, I believe the pool will look fantastic with my Littlehaven house. I have been drastically expanding my land to prepare for this theme. I just really wish that the hammock and stone shower were available for purchase for a lot of social points or simoleons. Because I really want my outdoor oasis to be beautiful.. and I really don't have a lot of extra cash laying around to spend on this game.
Just a few of thoughts from a loyal Sims Social player. :)))

  6. getting upset with these challanges... you can NEVER complete them without paying for SIMCASH. I used to LOVE playing this game.. now though.. i cant be bothered most of the time. If only they made at least one a month that us broke folk could complete... then maybe it would be worth it!

  7. Sim Social is no longer social. Now it is all about making money. Might as well call it The Sims Socialism

  8. If I wanted to spend real money to play a game I would rather gamble then buy virtual crap. JS!

    1. I can't agree more. I would rather spend my money on a bed I can truly sleep on! Not virtually.

  9. I can't seem to get my pool. I have the land expanded. I have it cleared at the beach house...When I try to put it there, it remains the red color and won't turn green indicating I can put it down. Ideas?

  10. I gotta tell you, until they fix the problems with sending/receiving requests & the wall posting, I'm not doing anymore quests. I missed out on the dragon tower & now the jukebox. They keep putting out quests without fixing the problem. The land expansion, I just made my bathroom & bedroom bigger. When are they going to offer more land on the vacation homes?

  12. It's rare that when you finish a mission the game gets faster, but when we started a new mission, the game becomes slower than before, and no, it isn't my browser, it isn't my computer (it's cleaned). I've tried with others browsers and games and all work wonderfull.

  13. yes i seem to agree with their opinions too.. why not you change the method of sim cash where we could also buy that ( THE SIM CASH) with our simoleons or also social points? i think everybody will make a great effort to buy that though it may be expensive too!

  14. I'm so upset! I hate this! I can't place my pool in my house or in my beach house! I tried many times in mozilla, google, internet explorer. its always hit a snag!! grrrrrrrrr.... FIX THIS!

  15. Ok..so here is my take on this week's quest. Frustrating!!!! I am ready to get my shower and can't ask another Sim for help on my relaxations because I have already asked for water rings and two other items to get my drain done. I now have 14 energies but afraid to use them on cleaning just in case someone gives me an item I need within the next hour to help build my pool.

This is all on top of the slow reactions and reloads on this quest. With over a 150 sims friends and a house that is over 1200...and playing every waking moment...I know I have threatened, but truly fed up. If I miss this quest...Sorry folks...I am done.

  18. its quest day tomorrow and nothing here to prepare for?????? why have this section at all if you don't give out the info in plenty of time...

  19. Is it just that I am looking more or is the 'prepare for' coming later then usual? Preparing usually denotes some prenotification. The day before isn't much of that.
