The Sims Social asks players to unlock their Free Beach House Land Expansion and place the Free Ataraxia Leisure Pool in it, unfortunately it doesn't tell you that the 6x6 space alone isn't big enough to house the gigantic 7x6 Swimming Pool, so you will need to remove an additional line of Beach Bottles, Driftwood and Shells from your Vacation Homes sandy beach floor and maybe give it a flip around to place it.
Remember that the building grid around the Ataraxia Leisure Pool will go green when there is enough room to place or begin to build the Special Item. I keep getting an error code 3215 (i think) and then my page reloads everytime I buy the free land and open the box and then try to either clean beach debris or buy the pool. So frustrating.
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem. If you have any open quests that require you to earn or spend simoleons you have to complete the quest before it will let you place the pool. I found this out on Playfish's website. Once I completed those tasks, it let me place the pool. Good luck!

i noticed that i can't place it near a wall, so i have to free a line between my home and the pool.

ReplyDeleteThe Pool can be placed anywhere at either home and it will still count towards completing the challenge. I have mine at my original home and it is still ticked off on the challenge. Hope this helps anyone worrying about if it is confined to the beach house only.
ReplyDeleteThere is a problems with publishing help requests on the facebook wall - it's happened to me twice! I have almost all needed ingredients to build the pool, but there is an items that there is no way to get them but ask friends via f.wall and wait for response... on my wall some requests doesn't appears at all and I have to wait another day with hope that tomorrow it would be possible to ask the missing items ones more...
ReplyDeleteI didn't have enough room for the pool at my beach house, even with the land expansion plot available. I didn't feel like completely re-designing my beach house at the moment so I placed the pool at my normal house. I still got a green check mark on the first two steps of the Pooling Resources quest even though I didn't place the pool where the quest instructed me to.

I didn't have to put it in the land expansion area. I put it in the middle of my vacation property and it works just fine. My question is, has anyone tried to put it in their original home? Does it work there?
ReplyDeleteThere's absolutely nothing on my free land expansion (as far as shells and other beach items go) and I still can't place it. I can put other things there; small room, furniture, and so on, but the pool does not fit. I had to put it in front of my house. :|

ReplyDeleteI placed the pool to my original home area, cause I don't spend time in the beach house. All ok this far... I'm finishing the 2/3 page.
Ive almost completed the pool building, im on 3/3 with 2 more categories to go... I was able to build my pool at my regular house and NOT my beach house, you dont need to put the pool on the beachhouse property for this to work.

ReplyDeletelove the pool....don't understand why I can only work 2 or 3 lines... then I dont receive anything that I request which I need to continue..good thing theres more days....same thing happened with the spa chair..didn't get to finish that....first time I've never completed a quest.....
ReplyDeleteIt can be placed anywhere, if people would put it in their main homes they would find out pretty quickly that it does NOT need to go on the beach land expansion.
ReplyDeleteOn my first Sim, I put the pool on the original home. On the second sim, I put the biggest room in the storage, moved the bathroom on one side and put the pool in the middle. Problem is I keep getting snags when I try to send and request gift. I might not be able to finish this quest on time, just like the last quest. Snag, snag, snag on my Higher level first sim account. Not too much snag on the second account but I don't have as much neighbors there...Please make it easier for higher level players to play this game. It must not be the millions of stuff in the house that's making the snag because why give us all those stuff if when we get them we'll also get the snag...

ReplyDeleteIt would have been nice if Playfish had given us enough new space at the Beach House to actually *place* the pool in. Even empty, the new space would not successfully take the placement of the pool; I had to clear a "front yard" corner at the Beach House & put it there. But there is *no* space between the (original small size) Beach House and the pool! -so now the sim has to walk *all the way around the house* to get to anything on the other side of the pool. :P
