Energy & Ingredients Backpack Limit Removed

Did you know that you can collect more Ingredients and Energy than your backpack can hold at the moment? Well, it has come to our attention over the last couple of weeks that Ingredients and Energy backpack limits are no longer being reinforced. This means, if you have any Free Energy or Ingredients that have been gifted to you that currently say 'Your backpack is currently full of this item' then you will still be able to accept them and they should add to your current backpack collection even if it still states this message in your inbox.

The Sims Social Fansite writers have checked and double checked and it seems to be working for most if not all of the giftable items in our backpacks for the past month or so and we have a feeling that it may now be here to stay!

All you have to do is click through every gift in your inbox, then refresh The Sims Social game, log back in and then your Ingredients should have exceeded the backpack limits in your Inventory and the Free Energy you claimed should have automatically gone into your Energy meter.

We do not know if the limits have been accidentally removed by the game developers or if they have decided that with the increased difficulty of Quests and Skill/ Project Items in The Sims Social online Facebook game recently that they may have revoked the backpack limits for good? So, this is your time to restart stockpiling those Ingredients and Energy for a rainy day. Be quick, as we do not have any idea how long this will last.

Are you finding the Backpack Limits have been removed for you? Have you noticed this for a while? We'd love to hear from you so please leave a Comment in the section provided below or simply do so via TwitterFacebookForum or our Chat Room.

  1. In the group I am in we have known about this for about 6 months. Don't know how long you have actually been able to do it.

  2. the reload trick has worked for a long time with the energy. It's a trick that most players know.

Lol, I saw it a long time ago. I think hundreds of Fury, Hope, Steel, almost 100 Planks...

    But thank you for information.

The problem is the following: if you want to have more "Steel" for example, you have to have a skill item where you can ask for this "Steel". But most of the time, when you overpass 10 or 12, you cannot ask for it (there is a green tick). So, you have to decrease your stock (by unlocking a skill level for example) and after, ask for it. Then, you will be able to have tens of "Steel".

    1. The key is to not click [Cancel]or [Done].

Just accept Energy and Items that are flagged as "Backpack is full", and then Refresh your browser immediately the items are clear.

Again, do not click [Cancel]or [Done], click the browser's Refresh button.

    2. I click done on my mail all the time. Extra is still there after reloading. This has been the case ever since this message first appeared. Extra energy can be put in the backpack as well, if you just use 1 energy from your backpack before accepting them from your mail. You'll know it's working when you no longer see "backpack is full" message. Things you collect from feed are not limited either. That is the best way to get goodwill, love, etc. The only thing limited when you're at or over the max on an ingredient is the chance for it to drop in game.

  10. I don't have any problem with limit, I have 120+ energy in my backpack now and if somebody send me another energy, it will continue to raise automatically. It has always been like that.

I have a video on my Facebook page that may help you. All your items go into your Backpack, and all your energy directly into your energy bar:

  12. It seems to work sometimes fir Energy but always exceed for all other items I've seemed to find. Would be nice for the energy to ALWAYS increase past 15!

  13. Worked well for me ...
I'D LIKE TO REQUEST EA TO REMOVE THE CEILING FOR ALL PERMANENTLY.
    Thank you very much!

  15. This has been here for months for me... In fact it's been so long that I've accumulated over 1000+ Energy and no longer ask for any... ahahahaahaha~

  16. This has literally been the case for me for over a year. The reload thing is completely unnecessary as well! Just accept all the gifts/energy, DON'T RELOAD, click your backpack and they're all there, e.g. my energy currently says 439/15, it's brilliant!

  17. Just tested it and it's not working for me. I always accept even when I'm over and it's not done anything for a long time.

  18. That was always the case, even when backpack was full of it, it showed in there next time you logged in. For over a year.

  19. Yeah it would be swell if this game was consistent. I can't go over the energy limit it neither goes to my energy bar nor my backpack regardless of refreshing.

  20. Unless you r using your backpack energy or it gets added to your current energy meter.

  21. Regarding +1 energy packs: If you use up ONE +1 energy, the "you have too many" notice disappears from the inbox, and when you accept them they'll show up in your backpack right away without having to reload. I've never seen them end up in my energy bar at all.

  22. MY ENERGY ISN'T BUILDING UP. EVEN WHEN I REFRESH :( . IT MAKES ME UPSET

  23. I just recently noticed that some things exceed limits but not on my energy ? Not in the backpack anyway...

  24. I have noticed that my energy and certain items like cloth do not accumulate as others have stated. Mine will stop at 15, even if I reload.
